U.S. Copyright Registration - Broncho Billy
U.S. Copyright Office records reveal that a copy of the film was not registered in 1970 or thereafter by USC Cinema.
1970 U.S. Copyright Law provided that an Author of a work

could renew the Copyright during the 28th year after the short film was released - 1970 + 28 years is 1998.
So, I did:
Copyright USC
Later U.S. Copyright Law was revised.

Now there is no opportunity for an Author to renew the copyright.
Once you loose the copyright to your original work it's gone forever.
